The Senoi Praaq, an elite Orang Asli unit within the Royal Malaysia Police`s Federal Reserve Unit (PGA), fought during the 1950s Malayan Emergency. When communist terrorists (Bintang Tiga) tried to infiltrate remote areas and exploit isolated Orang Asli communities as supporters and suppliers, British intelligence officer R.O.D. Noone proposed a special unit, approved by General Sir Gerald Templer in 1956. Made up entirely of Orang Asli warriors from the Semai and Temiar tribes, the unit combined modern military tactics with inherited jungle knowledge, undertaking high-risk missions to track down communist rebels. Their exceptional tracking skills and feared ambushes not only protected their villages but earned recognition from agencies like the CIA, who dubbed them "The Silent Killer."
